Employer Nomination Scheme visa (subclass 186) - Direct Entry stream Eligibility Requirements
To be eligible for the Employer Nomination Scheme visa (subclass 186) – Direct Entry stream, you must meet the following requirements:
- Have an eligible occupation on the relevant list of eligible skilled occupations
- Have at least 3 years relevant work experience in your occupation, unless exempt
- Be licensed, registered, or a member of a professional body if it is mandatory in the state or territory you intend to work in
- Have a positive skills assessment, unless exempt
- Be nominated by an Australian employer whose business is actively and lawfully operating
- Be under 45 years of age when you apply, unless exempt
- Meet the health and character requirements
- Sign the Australian values statement
- Have at least competent English
- Have paid back any debt owed to the Australian government
- Not have had a visa cancelled or a previous application refused in Australia
