Role Overview:

As a PE Teacher, you will develop and implement engaging physical education programs that encourage students to lead healthy and active lifestyles. Responsibilities include teaching a variety of sports and physical activities, organising school sports events, and promoting the importance of physical health in and out of the classroom.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Holds a valid Australian teaching certification with a specialisation or significant coursework in physical education.
  • Demonstrated passion for sports, fitness, and the promotion of healthy lifestyles among children and adolescents.
  • Experience in coaching, sports management, or leading physical activities for diverse age groups.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to motivate and inspire students to participate and excel in physical activities.

For International Qualified Teachers: 

To qualify for the position, candidates with international teaching credentials must meet the following requirements:

  • Hold international teaching qualifications.
  • Fulfil one of the following educational requirements:
    • A four-year Bachelor of Education degree, OR
    • A three-year degree in any subject plus a one-year Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) or Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PGDE).
  • Provide evidence of completing at least 45 days of supervised teaching practice as part of the required initial teacher education program.
