Eligibility for Former Norfolk Island Permit Holder Visa
To be eligible for this visa, you must:
- Have formerly held a Norfolk Island entry permit
- Have lived lawfully in Norfolk Island for five of the seven years prior to applying
- Meet the character requirement
- Not have had a visa cancelled or a previous application refused

- Enroll in Australia’s public health care scheme, Medicare
- Sponsor your relatives to come to Australia
- Travel to and from Australia while your visa is valid
- Apply for Australian citizenship, if eligible
Visa Obligations
As a visa holder, you must obey all Australian laws and update the authorities on changes in your situation such as phone number, email, address or passport changes.
Travel Conditions
You are permitted to travel to and from Australia multiple times for five years from the date the visa is granted. If you wish to travel after the initial 5-year travel facility, you must apply for a Resident Return (RRV) visa.
Family Sponsorship
