To be eligible for the Former Resident Visa (subclass 151), you must:

  • Meet the age and long residence requirement or defence service requirement
  • Apply on paper
  • Meet health and character requirements
  • Have no debt to the Australian government
  • Not have had a visa cancelled or a previous application refused
