About You:

  • Licensed and experienced Remedial Massage Therapist with a strong commitment to providing exceptional care
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective client rapport
  • Solid understanding of anatomy, physiology, and biomechanics, with advanced manual therapy and clinical skills
  • Motivated and passionate individual with a desire to continuously learn and develop skills
  • Flexible and adaptable, able to work both autonomously and collaboratively within a team environment
  • Committed to maintaining a safe and hygienic environment, adhering to all relevant health and safety regulations

Your Skills and Experience:

  • Diploma of Remedial Massage or higher qualification
  • Minimum of 2 years postgraduate experience preferred
  • Proven ability to perform various massage techniques: remedial, sports, pregnancy, deep tissue, and relaxation
  • Experience in managing TMJ disorders is a plus
  • Certified in providing exercise and rehabilitation programs
  • Experience and certification in cupping, dry needling, and taping (both rigid & rock tape) preferred
  • Up-to-date knowledge of biomechanics, pain management, exercise prescription, and sporting injuries
  • Valid Professional Indemnity Insurance and eligible for health fund provider numbers
  • Membership with a relevant professional association
  • Current Working with Children Check and certified in CPR & First Aid

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilise various techniques to address soft tissue issues like muscles, tendons, and ligaments, promoting healing and recovery
  • Employ specific massage strategies to support athletes in achieving their best and reducing injury risk
  • Deliver treatments that encourage relaxation, improve circulation, and alleviate muscle tension, fostering overall well-being
  • Conduct assessments to identify specific soft tissue issues and provide effective treatment plans along with rehabilitation advice
  • Utilise techniques like acupressure or Shiatsu, alongside tools like heat lamps, compresses, ice, essential oils, and herbal remedies, to enhance the recovery process
  • Assess clients’ physical condition and medical history, recommending stretching exercises and relaxation techniques for optimal results
