Requirements:

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of documented experience in plumbing or draining.
  • Qualifications: Must hold a plumbing or draining licence.
  • Skill Level: AQF Certificate III, which includes at least two years of on-the-job training, or AQF Certificate IV (ANZSCO Skill Level 3). At least three years of relevant experience may substitute for formal qualifications.
  • Availability: Able to work Monday to Friday, mornings and afternoons, with flexibility for other shifts as needed.
  • Start Date: ASAP.
  • Work Rights: Must have working rights in Australia. If you do not, the employer may consider sponsoring on a 482 visa.
  • Registration: Licensing is required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Study blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout of plumbing systems and materials required.
  • Set out and install hot and cold water systems and associated equipment.
  • Install water-based fire protection systems, including fire hydrants, hose reels, and sprinkler systems.
  • Design and install sanitary plumbing and water supply systems, discharge pipes, and sanitary fixtures.
  • Fabricate and install soil and waste stacks.
  • Assemble and install mechanical services plant, air handling, and conditioning equipment, and small bore heating systems.
  • Install sewerage and effluent pumping equipment and disposal systems.
  • Install below-ground drainage systems and associated ground support systems.
  • Install, maintain, and repair gas mains, piping systems downstream of the billing meter, and appliances and ancillary equipment associated with the use of fuel gases.
  • Fabricate and install metal roofing, rainwater goods, and flashings.
