To be eligible for the Prospective Marriage visa (subclass 300), you must meet the following requirements:
- You must be 18 years old or older
- You must have a sponsor who is an Australian citizen, permanent resident or eligible New Zealand citizen
- You must intend to marry your prospective spouse before the visa period ends
- You must be outside of Australia when you apply for this visa
- You must not have had a visa cancelled or an application refused
- You must meet the health and character requirements
- You must have no debt to the Australian Government
- You must meet the best interests of the child requirement
